Galp Foundation promotes Social Scholarships in partnership with EPIS

Within the framework of the EPIS Social Scholarships Initiative - Schools of the Future 2017/2020, the Galp Foundation promoted two social grants to reward the academic merit of 9th grade students in schools in the counties of Matosinhos and Sines.

The public awards ceremony was held at the Oriente Foundation, with a total of 55 social grants awarded to students attending secondary school or higher education in the current school year from all over the mainland and the Azores.

The Galp Foundation contributed to this project by awarding two scholarships in the municipalities of Matosinhos and Sines to the following students:

  • Eva Ferreira de Asunción (Sines) - attends 10th year schooling at the Manuel da Fonseca Secondary School and finished the 9th year of schooling with an average of 5.00;
  • Gonçalo Oliveira (Matosinhos) - attends the 10th year of schooling at the Augusto Gomes Secondary School and finished the 9th year of schooling with an average of 4.73.

These students were awarded grants based on their socioeconomic conditions and high academic merit achieved at the end of the 9th year of schooling, as well as on the ambition they showed in continuing their studies.
