Galp Energia Foundation fulfils the wishes of 10 Make-a-Wish children

In December 2015, the Galp Energia Foundation sponsored ten wishes of critically ill children accompanied by the Make-a-Wish foundation.

The fulfilment of these wishes was made throughout 2016, conditioned by the health of each child, family availability and doctors' authorisation. These actions saw the participation of about 80 volunteers from Galp Voluntária, distributed into ten groups, who dedicated themselves to planning the details and overseeing the fulfilment of each wish in permanent communication with Make-a-Wish.

The wishes included: travelling to EuroDisney, a tablet, visiting football team Porto’s home-ground the Dragão Stadium; meeting Sporting's technical team and players, a playstation, a mobile phone, and something as simple as kissing a dolphin. The last of the ten wishes sponsored by the Foundation took place early November with a visit to Lisbon Zoo and the gifting of a bicycle.

Make-a-Wish is a UN-recognised charity dedicated to caring for children ages 3 to 18 who suffer from serious, progressive, degenerative or malignant illnesses, to offer them an experience of joy and hope.
