The Perafita Elementary School (EB1) teaches from Pre-school to lower secondary education, with approximately three hundred students, and was in need of renovation and equipment for its facilities.
On December 13, twenty volunteers, employees of the Matosinhos Refinery, took part in the rehabilitation and equipping of areas identified as dilapidated, carrying out several tasks, including: painting of walls, assembly of furniture and equipment, varnishing of doors and skirting boards.
The laying of laminate flooring by specialised technicians to make the two rooms (multimedia and library) more welcoming and comfortable, was a priority that was part of previous work.
Two desktop computers that will be used in the Multimedia Room, where a heating system will also be installed, were also donated.
