Access to energy

We support access to energy and promote energy efficiency as drivers of social well-being. We prioritise efficient, innovative, and sustainable energy solutions — often renewable — tailored to the needs of each community and social partner we support.

We believe in a people-centred, fair, and inclusive energy transition. In the context of the 'Access to energy' strategic axis, we operate on two fronts.

On the one hand, we support access to energy at national level and in Galp communities. We collaborate with non-governmental organisations to provide fuel, heating equipment, and LPG bottles where they are most needed, ensuring efficient, innovative, and sustainable energy solutions tailored to each beneficiary.

On the other hand, we promote energy efficiency in Galp communities. We focus on renewable energy solutions to help our social partners increase efficiency, reduce costs, and raise awareness of sustainable practices.

The Energy of Communities

For us, the Energy of Communities lies in its people. Through their voices, faces, and stories, we share the social impact initiatives we develop in each community where Galp is present.

In Alcântara, Alcoutim, Sines, and Santiago do Cacém, we have introduced collective solar self-consumption projects with social objectives. In Matosinhos, we have launched a social innovation and entrepreneurship programme to drive the energy transition in the municipality.

Vale Energia

Programme for the free distribution of Galp LPG bottles to social solidarity institutions in the ENTRAJUDA network and to the families they support throughout the country, including the mainland and islands.

'Vale Energia' is the new name for the “Galp Energia Solidária” programme. Between 2022 and 2024:

> 78,000 gas bottles delivered  
> 2,700 social organisations impacted

Fuel support

Annual fuel support programme for more than 90 social partners in Galp communities on the mainland and islands. Fuel donations enable organisations to sustain their daily operations in fulfilling their social missions.
